True Love Waits Week 2020

The True Love Waits club sponsored activities during the week of February 10, to promote healthy self-image and to promote living a pure and chaste lifestyle. The theme for the week was "You are Worth Waiting For."

Activities included a photo booth, a chalk talk (students wrote inspirational, girl-power messages around school), and the sale of themed bookmarks made by club member junior Nha Nguyen. Proceeds will be donated to Covenant House.

The True Love Waits Club also hosted an assembly on February 12. Along with readings of original poems written by club members, and songs performed by the choir, club members presented a "talk show" themed skit with "callers" who needed advice about dating and healthy self-image.

Robin Nicole Kindrick, nationally known speaker and author known as the "Inspiration Specialist", and Lorraine Hess, nationally known song writer, worship leader, and youth speaker, were guests presenters at the assembly. True Love Waits club members said a pledge to reaffirm their commitment to living a life of purity. Several girls in the club also received rings that they will wear as a sign of their commitment.
