The recent and tragic death of George Floyd is an intolerable violation against human dignity that has not left us indifferent. It has reminded us that the sin of racism remains a critical issue in society that must be addressed; that all life is precious because every human being is made in the image of God, with both dignity and value; that peaceful, non-violent protests are the right of all citizens. We all carry the responsibility to pray, to act peaceably, to stand together against senseless brutality in non-violent ways that promote the dignity of all people. Academy of Our Lady continues to be committed to educating young women of strong character and faith who will be catalysts for positive change, promoting what is just and right in our world. We call of our families, students and alumni to join together in praying our family prayer. Click on the tile of this post for our family prayer.
