A coveted tradition at Academy of Our Lady is the annual Senior Retreat. For the class of 2020, the retreat would have been held today, April 17. We wanted to make our students feel special because they are loved and have worked so hard throughout the past five years. Faculty and staff took to the streets this week to place signs in students’ yards to honor them and show how proud we are of these girls! Though their senior year has not gone as planned the faculty and staff are incredibly proud of Academy of Our Lady’s class of 2020. These young women have managed to persevere and stay positive through this unprecedented time. We look forward to seeing what amazing achievements these students accomplish in the future. The Academy of Our Lady Robotics Team, the Power Struck Girls, traveled to Arkansas March 5-7 to participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition Arkansas Regional Qualifier. The Power Struck Girls ranked 20th of 58 teams from across the country and Mexico, winning 6 of their 9 matches. The team had eight weeks to design, build and code their robot, Kanata, to complete a number of tasks for this year's game: Infinite Recharge. To view photos click on the title of this post.
