Members of Academy of Our Lady’s Student Council attended the Louisiana Association of Student Councils State Convention in Pineville, Louisiana the weekend of January 18. Ninety-seven high schools from throughout Louisiana were present at LASC. Academy of Our Lady representatives participated in various leadership activities, voiced their ideas and heard from multiple speakers.
Elections of new LASC officials took place during the convention. Junior Megan O’Brien was elected the District I secretary. She will represent New Orleans schools associated with LASC by attending meetings, recording minutes and being a positive presence among her peers.
