Financial Aid

Son of a Saint works to provide middle school and high school scholarships allowing Son of a Saint mentees and others to attend tuition-based schools in the New Orleans area. This is primarily done through Son of a Saint Scholars, which is our Student Tuition Organization selected by the Louisiana Department of Education to help facilitate the state's Tution Donation Credit Program. 

The Son of a Saint Scholars application for the 2024-2025 school year will be open November 1, 2023 and close April 30, 2024. Applicants will be notified as to the staus of their application no later than May 31, 2024. 

The Champions of Catholic Education (CCE) fund was established with the goal of providing tuition assistance to make Catholic education more affordable. It is administered by the Archdiocese of New Orleans Department of Catholic Education and Faith Formation and The Catholic Community Foundation. The application process for Champions of Catholic Education is available the first week in March to the first week in April each year. 

Aspiring Scholars offers qualifying low-to-moderate income families' scholarship assistance to help students attend Catholic school through the State of Louisiana Tuition Donation Credit Program. Applications open in the Spring. 

ASPIRING SCHOLARS WEBSITE

ACE Scholars is a program of ACE Scholarships that offer qualifying low-to-moderate income families' scholarship assistance to help students attend Catholic school. Applications open up in the Spring. 

ACE SCHOLAR LOUISIANA WEBSITE

The Arete Scholarship is a program of the Arete Scholars philanthropic organization. It offers qualifying low to moderate-to-low income families' scholarship assistance to help students attend Catholic school. Applications open up in the Spring. 

ARETE SCHOLARSHIP WEBSITE

The NOHHF high school scholarships are one year scholarships given to individual hispanic students who have financial need and a strong academic record. 

NOHHF HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP WEBSITE

The Pazos Education Fund provides scholarships to students affected by Type 1 Diabetes who choose to attend a New Orleans Archdiocesan School. 

PAZOS EDUCATION FUND SCHOLARSHIP WEBSITE

The Archdiocesan Catholic Educator Scholarship is a $1,500 award towards tuition to students who have a parent or guardian that serves in Archdiocesan Catholic Education in any capacity on a full-time basis.

ARCHDIOCESAN CATHOLIC EDUCATOR SCHOLARSHIP FORM

The PLEASE Foundation provides mentoring, leadership training, and scholarships to at-risk students in New Orleans. The foundation provides all the tools necessary for students to attend and succeed in college prepatory high schools. The ultimate goal is for each student to be accepted into college and acheive their greatest potential.

Here at Academy of Our Lady, we understand that the high tuition costs of a Catholic High School education makes it out of reach for some. The goal of Salesian Aid is to give every family the opportunity to apply for some level of assistance to help.
