Elective Selection

The courses in your final schedule for the 2020-21 school year will be sent to you in a summer mailing. These selections are determined by standardized test scores, elementary grades and entrance test results. Electives are determined by your preferences and availability in your schedule because of time constraints.

- PLEASE RANK YOUR CHOICES FOR SEMESTER ELECTIVES by placing a 1, 2, 3, 4, etc., for the semester electives listed below:
- Speech
- Business Computer Applications
- Dynamics of Effective Study***
- PE8 (Semester only)**
- Computer Programming
- Intro to Health Occupations*
- *You must be enrolled in English I, Algebra I and Physical Science in order to schedule Introduction to Health Occupations.
  **Please do not schedule both PE8 semester only and PE8 year. PE8 is a non-credit elective.
  ***Some students are scheduled in Dynamics of Effective Study due to standardized test scores.

- *Robotics requires "C" in the 6th and 7th grade math and science.
  **Must be scheduled in English I to choose a Foreign Language as a Pre-Freshman.
  ***Must be enrolled in Speech IA to take Theatre I.
  ****Please do not schedule both PE8 semester only and PE8 year. PE8 is a non-credit elective.
  ****Students placed in Math 8 will also be scheduled in PE8.
