CRS Global High School Program
Martha Gaynoe of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Global Solidarity Program presented a plaque to Academy of Our Lady to show their gratitude for continued participation in CRS projects. Academy of Our Lady was one of 11 schools in the United States who helped to pilot the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Global Solidarity Program.
The CRS Global High School Program provides opportunities for Catholic secondary schools to join with CRS to educated about Catholic social teaching and advocate for solidarity with the global poor. This innovative initiative will utilize three tiers of program participation: Silver, Gold and Platinum. Silver schools receive lesson plans and other materials from CRS, and are required to complete a minimum number of school events. Gold schools join an active online network of other schools across the country to share resources. Platinum schools leaders participate in in-person trainings, mentor other schools and apply to be part of an overseas immersion experience. Academy of Our Lady is considered a Platinum school.
