The Academy Graduates Class of 2014

Academy of Our Lady celebrated its Seventh Commencement Exercises at the Alario Center.  110 diplomas were awarded to the Class of 2014 that earned more than $4.1 million in scholarships and TOPS.

Valedictorian Emily Fettet of Harvey, Salutatorian Pauline Tu of Harvey, and Student Council President and Facilitator Alison McCarthy of Gretna join in the salute to the flag.

Sr. Michelle Geiger, principal, presents the Golden Scepter Award to Victoria Dihn of Marrero. This award is presented to the graduate who has gone over and above the required 75 hours of service. Victoria Dihn earned over 400 hours in service.

Academy of Our Lady 2014 Graduates earned civic and leadership awards in a variety of sectors.


Front:  The Unheralded Senior Award to Marley Schaefer of Marrero; the Knights of Columbus Patriotic Award to Danielle Bourg of Marrero; the American Legion Award to Vivian Cu of Marrero.

Back:  The Woodman of the World American History Award to Brittany Robichaux of Marrero; the Believe in You Principal’s Award to Hunter Picard of Marrero; the Catholic Youth Leadership Award from the Terrytown Council to Casey Nichol of Belle Chasse; the Catholic Youth Leadership Award from the Archbishop Blenk Council to Meghan Kenyon of Marrero; the Catholic Youth Leadership Award from the Immaculata Council to Rebecca Melanson of Marrero.

Academy of Our Lady graduates earned college credit through Dual Enrollment with Delgado Community College Charity School of Nursing and with Southeastern Louisiana University.
