Academy of Our Lady recently held its Academy of Our Lady High School has named Jennifer Miller as Head Basketball Coach for the 2014–2015 season. Miller served as head track, cross-country and assistant in basketball at the Marrero school this school year.

“We are elated that someone with the credentials and experience Coach Miller possesses will direct the program,” said Academy principal Sr. Michelle Geiger. “Our athletic teams have taken great strides recently. Our volleyball, softball, and bowling teams are undefeated district champions. I feel the addition of Coach Miller will move our basketball program in that same direction.”

After stints at Stanton Prep and Atlantic Coast High Schools in Jacksonville, she relocated to New Orleans.

“I look forward to the challenge of preparing a young team to compete in a district as competitive as 9AAAA,” said Miller. “I believe we can build something special here–especially when we move to the new facility.”
