Health Care Connections Inaugural Class
Six seniors comprise the inaugural group of Academy students to complete internships in the school’s Health Care Connections program. The program, which has affiliations with the Ochsner Health System and other agencies in the community, is a recent addition to the Academy’s curriculum and is guided by Sister Susan Bagli.
This semester’s interns closed out their time in the program with formal presentations that included a synopsis of their clinical experiences, explanations of the program’s benefits to their educations, and how Health Care Connections helped them to discover the fields they want to follow in college. Students made their presentations at the Ochsner West Bank facility in Gretna.
Pictured above are the interns and other Ochsner and Academy guests who attended the students’ formal presentations.
