Jefferson Parish’s new interim president, Mr. Steve Theriot of Marrero, has a connection to the Academy.  He is a 1964 graduate of Immaculata High, one of the two older schools from which Academy of Our Lady was created in 2007.  Mr. Theriot has long been active in public affairs.  He represented the West Bank in the state legislature for eight years, and before accepting the presidency of Jefferson Parish, he was the state’s legislative auditor.  He has also had a successful career as a certified public accountant.  Congratulations to Mr. Theriot!
