On Saturday, September 24, 11 girls from AOL auditioned for the Louisiana Music Educators Association District VI honor choir to be held in January of 2012.  The auditions were held at Brother Martin High School.  All 11 girls from Academy of Our Lady were chosen to be a part of the honor choir.   Amanda Barrois, Clara Bausa, Brooke Bourgeois, Katelynn Breaux, Gabrielle Klinner, Regan Lewis, Raechelle Lopez, Taylor Monfra, and A'drianne Wells were selected to participate in both the SATB and the SSA choir.  Alysia Crowley and Margaret Randell were chosen for the SSA choir.
 
Amanda Barrois, Clara Bausa, Gabrielle Klinner, Raechelle Lopez and Taylor Monfra all ranked in the top 5 in their respective voice parts which means they will now go on to the 2nd round auditions for the LMEA All-State choir.  Those auditions will be held in Lafayette on Saturday, Oct. 8.  If selected, the girls will participate in the All-State choir at the LMEA convention in Baton Rouge in November.
