Olivia Bourgeois Receives St. Timothy Award

Olivia Bourgeois, a senior at Academy of Our Lady High in Marrero, is one of fourteen young people honored with the St. Timothy Award this year by the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
The St. Timothy Award, the highest given to a youth by the archdiocese, is awarded to young people who display high ideals and who give their time and talents to the community through volunteerism with their local church, the archdiocese, or with other community youth programs.
Olivia received the award from Archbishop Alfred Hughes on April 26 in ceremonies at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans.
Activities that Olivia has given time to include Teen CROSS, the CYO groups at both St. Martha and Holy Spirit churches, and the Blessed Selos Center in New Orleans.
Olivia is the daughter of Mrs. Kim Bourgeois of Harvey.
