Science Olympiad

Academy science students showed their smarts and skills at the annual regional Science Olympiad at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux. The Junior Team placed second among ten teams and qualified for April’s state competition in Hammond. Seventeen teams on the junior squad placed in a variety of events. Five of those teams earned first place awards.
The Senior Team placed seventh overall among 17 teams, and nine teams on this squad placed in various events.
