Right to Life Week

Students and staff members were once again reminded of the value of life as activities took place during the annual Right to Life Week from January 10 to 14. The week began with students creating an “If I Lived Display” on a wall in the K.C. Hall. The display featured notes taped to the wall with the proposed names and careers of children who died in abortions and were never able to fulfill the promise of their lives. The week also featured on Tuesday a “wheelchair and walker” race in the courtyard. This activity helped students empathize with the aged and with persons who need aid to simply get around for their daily routines. An area of the school courtyard was filled with small flags and placards calling for an end to unchecked abortion. Other events this week include “Spiritual Adoptions” of the unborn and other activities that reaffirm the value and dignity of all human life. Thanks are due to the Right to Life Club for sponsoring the week’s activities and to Mrs. Doris Bridges, the RTL club’s moderator.
