Students from several area middle schools got an inside look at the Academy during one of our “Spend A Day” visits.  Girls from St. Cletus, Immaculate Conception, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Salem Lutheran, and Riverdale Middle toured the campus and were also treated to some special instruction from Miss Jennifer Sax, science teacher, and Miss Chris Shepard, art teacher.  Miss Shepard gave students insights on how to sketch a human face.  Miss Sax treated our visitors to some examples of skills taught in her forensics class.  In particular, students used a special magnifying device to examine clothing fibers, examined swabs of cells from their mouths under a microscope, and observed how different materials reacted when set aflame.
