Gospel Roads

Academy of Our Lady students, together 23 other students from other Salesian High Schools, experience a life changing retreat in Birmingham, AL.
These students provide various service activities at a local parish in Birmingham called St. Theresa. There the students worked at the church, and served at a local parish called Holy Rosary working with children. They also participated in a YouthBuild redoing houses that were damaged. They were able to help clean out a local center to be used in the parish. They were also able to work with Lifeline was a home for teenage mothers, and it allowed them a place to stay during their pregnancy.
Gospel Roads was a place of service learning and spiritual growth for each participant. They not only were allowed to do all of their service work, but they were able to enjoy several fun activities throughout the week allowing them to form a close bond. Gospel Roads became like a family, and these students agree that it is life changing!
