September Events
Spirit was the order of the day as the entire student body gathered in the gym for for fall Athletic Spirit Rally. Members of the volleyball, cross country, basketball, bowling, and swimming teams were introduced, and students also took part in a variety of spirit-building games on the gym's stage. The spirit megaphone for September was awarded to the freshman class, which was leading the school in spirit points as of September 18.

The Student Council partnered with the Volleyball team on September 29 to "Paint the Gym Pink" to raise breast cancer awareness. The event, which took place during a volleyball game against Belle Chasse High, completed several days of fund raising activities on campus. Students and staff bought pink "Volleyball for the Cure" t-shirts and also raised money through a dress down day and by paying to put their handprints on huge banners. Funds raised were donated to a speical trust fund for the children of Marta Bott, an Ursuline Academy volleyball coach who died last year from breast cancer.

The Student Council began this September with the Induction Mass. At this Mass the newly elected Homeroom Representatives, along with the Studen Council Executive Board made thier pledge to serve the school community as leaders and role models.
