    Girls who want to have a key part in building championship seasons play for Academy teams

Cheerleading

The Academy of Our Lady Cheerleaders attended SCA Nationals in Lafayette on Sunday, February 20th, and both teams showed spirit and skill, and they also walked away with impressive trophies.
The Junior Varsity team stood above all of its competitors as it took first place in the Level 2 Division. The Varsity squad also displayed talent and energy as it performed well enough to take third in the Level 3 Division.
Competitions are not yet done for the year.  In March, several Junior Varsity members will join the varsity for a national competition in Orlando, Florida.  Between now and March, the varsity team will be diligently working to improve their routines for their next major competition. 
Jacqueline Nguyen and Ashley Parria are the head coaches for this year’s cheerleading teams, and Crystal Brown is the faculty moderator.
