Athletics

Penguin teams in basketball, bowling, cross country, soccer, softball, track and field, swimming and volleyball compete in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division 4A.

The Athletic banquet at Academy of Our Lady recently honored athletes from the 2015 – 2016 School year. Athletic Director, Scott Walker, welcomed the athletes and their families followed by dinner and the awards ceremony. Academy of Our Lady Principal, Sister Michelle Geiger, presented team most valuable players and the most outstanding athlete award.

Courtney Roberts of Harvey received the most outstanding athlete award for her hard work, faith and dedication on the field and in the classroom. 

Sr. Michelle Geiger presented the most valuable player awards to Adde-Lisa Baldwin of Harvey, Volleyball; Jewel Freeman of Gretna, Swimming; Cailey Folse of Marrero, Softball; Catherine Forbes of Harvey, Soccer; Lauren Michel of Marrero, Bowling; Amie Simoneaux of Terrytown, Cross Country; and Courtney Roberts of Harvey, track and field.
