"The school is respectful of your religion, even if you're not Catholic."
- An Academy student

Faith In Action
Academy of Our Lady instills in young women the values to live as Catholic Christians, the drive for life-long learning, and the skills to succeed as responsible citizens in society.
Academy students have constant opportunities to act on their faith. The campus chapel offers daily prayer services; gospel values and ethical principles are integrated across all disciplines. Students see teachers practicing their faith. Popular retreats involve a broad cross-section of students and faculty.
Living their faith also means Academy students are involved in community outreach. Service-immersion trips find them running a soup kitchen and lobbying Congress for the rights of the poor in Washington, D.C.; rebuilding homes in Appalachia; and running camps for Mayan migrant children in Miami. After Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, students banded together to provide meals to their hard-hit neighbors in Lafitte, Louisiana.
